17 months

I know I am so behind on posting. December is such a busy month that I haven't had much time to actually get on the computer.

I started a small home based business where I craft and create projects for people. I also purchased an embroidery machine so I have been making applique shirts, logos etc for people as well. So...in between taking care of a super hyper, busy and crazy 17 month old, crafting during nap time and bedtime...I haven't had much spare time. Here is your swirly twirly gumdrops shirt I made during bedtime one night.
So...

What is Ayla up to?

Ayla, you are talking non-stop all day! I absolutely love it! You are the little social butterfly and you love to make sure people know you are there. I am so proud of the little girl you are becoming. I am constantly amazed at all the things you are doing. You will now put 3-4 words together to make sentences. At night when I tell you it's time to say your prayers you say "Jesus, adfldjd;fkajfdfk, Amen. Night Night Mommy." I love that you love to pray and you really love to say Amen! I hope you always love to say your prayers. You are always watching and studying things, people's faces, words, etc. You have started repeating what people say and do. When you are watching your two favorite shows..."Yo Gabba Gabba and Bubble Guppies", you start singing. When it is Bubble Guppies...you start singing bubble, bubble, bubble yeah! When it is Yo Gabba Gabba...you like to say gabba and tootie.

You are fascinated with Christmas lights and decorations. Every morning you wake up and when I come in you immediately say tree, lights, hot. You want to turn your tree on in your room. Next we walk into the living room and you go over to the big tree and show me where to turn it on, just in case I didn't know. We turn it on and after that one we go over to the nativity scene and you say "Jesus" and we turn on the lights in the nativity. Then we head over to the fireplace and the mantle and you climb up the little stairs on the fireplace and help me turn those lights on too. Same routine every morning. You are a creature of habit. You love to tickle the Santa and it makes him come on and sing Jingle Bells. You like to dance to him singing.

You love to help mommy drink her hot tea in the morning. You say "hot tea" and head over to the Keruig. I'm afraid I have created a monster! Ha Ha

You are super independent at sometimes. When you want something there seems to be no stopping you. I love that you are independent but I do miss you needing mommy to do everything. You love food but it has to be on your terms. You used to be an amazing eater. You would eat all fruits, veggies, etc. Now...I can barely get you to eat any veggies. So, I have been hiding them in your favorite thing right now...pumpkin spice cake muffins. This time instead of using pumpkin...I used sweet potatoes, carrots, a little pumpkin and some sweet peas. You haven't noticed! Ha

You will not sit still. Not even when it is time to eat. You are dancing and moving all around when you are eating. It is quite hilarious. I am almost 29 years old and I still get told all the time of how I can't ever sit still. I don't know where you get this.

You have a new face to go along with the stink face. It is your spazz crazy face. You started it one morning when you were in the bath playing and you haven't stopped since. It is the funniest thing in the world. I am planning on getting a good video of this and putting it on here because people have to see this one.

You are beautiful inside and out. Ayla, you are perfect exactly how God made you. You are the sweetest, most beautiful little baby in the whole world! We love you princess!
