28 Weeks Old

Ayla, you are 28 weeks old!Tuesday we had your 6 month shots. You weighed 17.3 pounds and were 27 1/4 inches long. Dr. H said that you are in the 95th percentile for your height and you are in the 75th percentile for weight. You are absolutely perfect. Daddy is excited that you are tall :-)

Yesterday was a rough day. You have never had any issues with your shots but yesterday you woke up with a fever. You felt so hot. Mommy took your temperature and it was 102.4!!! You were screaming everytime I picked you up or touched your legs. They were SO sore from your shots. Thank goodness you fever has gone way down now and you are not as sore today. It was so hard for mommy to see you hurting yesterday. I didn't even try to dress you up and take a picture yesterday for your 28 weeks. We waited until today! This was you yesterday on the couch with mommy. You love to laugh and smile. It is the perfect start to mommy's day when I go in there to get you up from bed and you just smile and start talking to me! I love to watch you sleep. You have started sleeping on your side more. You have your hand on your face and you hold your cheek when you sleep. It is so funny because when mommy sleeps on her side or on her tummy, I always have one hand on my face as well! Like mommy like daughter!

You are very interested in rolling EVERYWHERE!!! We can't leave you in one spot because not 2 minutes later, you have rolled across the entire floor.

You are army crawling and scooting/swimming when you are on your tummy. It won't be long before you are crawling. When you are on your tummy, you scoot your knees up and try to push. I can't believe we are almost at the crawling stage already. It seems like yesterday that I held you in my arms for the first time.

You love to eat squash and bananas. Not really together but they are your two favorite foods. You are quite partial to sweet potatoes but I think squash is your favorite vegetable.

We gave you a baby safe food bag and put a fresh banana in it for you to suck on. You LOVED it!This week was also your first snow! You weren't really sure about it but you thought it was pretty neat. We laid you down and had you make your first snow angel! It was so much fun playing with you in the snow...or actually carrying you in the snow! :-)We love you Ayla!

she is absolutely precious! I know when Morgan got her 6 mth shots her fever shot up really high around 102 so wonder if it has something to do with the shot?! Glad to hear she is feeling better though.
