37 Weeks Old

Ayla, you are 37 weeks old! Happy St. Patty's Day tomorrow!

You continue to amaze us with how much you roll around in bed at night. You are a great sleeper and you sleep from about 8pm to 7:30-8:00am. We lay you down on your back and in the middle of the crib and within 10 minutes you are either all the way to the end turned sideways, or you stick your booty up in the air while on your tummy. It is so funny to watch you sleep like that. Many times you have completely turned yourself around and are facing the other direction. The best thing is that when you lose your paci during the night, you do a great job of finding it on your own and putting it back in, all while having your eyes closed! Mommy and daddy thank you very much for that :-)

You are still not interested in crawling. All you want to do is pull up on things. You will sit and play with your toys but it seems like every toy you are playing with, you are trying to figure out how you can stand up. You will usually turn to one of us and grab on and start pulling and tugging.

Daddy thinks it's funny to let you fall down. He says you have to learn! Mommy says that is mean and I stay right there with you to make sure you don't! We do let you occasionally fall but most of the time you have figured out how to let your self down without falling over.

You are starting to say "Bubba" and that is referring to Spanky and Scrappy! We call them Bubba around you and now you have started saying it. So now you can say "Mama, Dada and Bubba"! You also do some major jibber jabbing and talk like crazy...but not any more words.

We ordered you a new car seat. I can't wait to start using it! I will show everyone a picture of your new seat soon!

You absolutely love playing outside. We bought the Little Tikes Swing Along Castle and you love pulling up on it. You also love swinging in the swing. I can't wait for Spring and Summer to get here. We will have so much fun outside.

Mommy is already starting to plan your birthday party! Call me crazy but I just can't wait! Daddy says I don't need to get carried away because you won't even remember it...but I think the 1st Birthday's are more for the mommy's anyway! It is so special and it has to be just perfect!
