43 Weeks

43 weeks ago you were born! Every day with you has been more amazing that the first. I can't believe you are fixing to be a year old. Where has my baby gone?Ayla loves looking out the window with the dogs. She is looking for daddy to come home after school. But, she starts looking as soon as she gets up. Hmmm... Ha haThis week we have been busy. At the beginning of the week...we had MORE tornado warnings! This weather has been insane and my heart goes out to those who lost loved ones, their belongings, and all the damage that these storms have caused. Thank you God for protecting our family.

Here is Ayla on Easter morning. She was pretty excited about what the Easter bunny brought her.
I ran Ayla to the doctor on Monday to have her ears checked. She has been tugging on them and really messing with them. It seemed she did a little bit over the weekend but then on Monday it was all she was doing it seemed like. I just wanted to make sure she didn't have an ear infection or anything. NOPE! Just teething! I thought that might be it but you can never be sure. She has one tooth coming in on the bottom and her two top teeth are trying to break through as well. I wish they would hurry up! Since Ayla has been teething...this is about what all our Easter pictures look like! HaAyla, at the doctor you weighed 20 pounds and 6 ounces. You are absolutely perfect! You are wearing 12 month clothes now. That is crazy!

You really love to feed yourself. You want anything we have and you get mad when we don't give you some. You love the puffs and the yogurt puffs as well. Other foods, small chunks of soft fruit or veggies...you spit out. It is like you don't like the big chunks or something. I'm not sure why you want them but then spit them out...but I suppose when you are ready to really eat them you will.

You love to shake your head "no" anytime we tell you no. It is really hard for us to keep a straight face because you are too cute. I have a feeling you are going to be quite a handful!

You are obsessed with trying to get to Spanky and Scrappy's food bowls. We have continued to tell you no but you don't seem to mind being picked up and moved away from them because you try to go right back. This just shows that even as a child...we are born with a sinful nature.

You are the life of the party. Anytime we go anywhere, you talk, squawk and try to get everyone's attention. You wave to people and smile. What are we going to do with you? Ha ha

Mommy is busy trying to plan your birthday party. I can't wait. I think I am more excited than you! We are doing a whimsical zebra theme! Since your room is wild and crazy with zebra, I think your party should be too!
