I'm so excited! We had our invitro meeting/class yesterday. It was a super long day. Stuart and I got to Little Rock around 10:15ish. My appointment time was at 10:30 for the class. We kept sitting and sitting and sitting. At 11:00 they called us back to the "collection room" for Stuart. I am sure you know what that means. They had to collect a sample from Stuart so they could test it and watch it and make sure it was strong enough and does what it is supposed to do for the embryo transfer. The normal sperm count is 20 million cells to like 49% something. Stuarts were 48 million to 67%- so his area is good. They wanted to watch it over night and check to see how it was going in the morning. So, hopefully still going strong. Yeah for Stuart!
We then went back and sat in the waiting room for the IVF nurse Debra to call us back. She did and we had our class and she showed us how to give shots, how to get out the medicine and etc. etc. etc. Then she told us we could leave for lunch and come back for my post op and bloodwork.
We ate lunch at On the Border- one of my favorite places!! We came back around 1:00 and they got us in about 1:30 to do the blood work. I was first- not bad. Stuart was next and he wasn't too sure but it was fine. They didn't have a room available so we went back to the waiting room until about 2:10 and they called us back to a room. We waited......till about 2:45 and another doctor came in to see my incisions etc. She said "Girl I hope you never have to have surgery again because you are a mess in there" She said that it was such a mess in there is was hard to fnd the fallopian tube to cut away from my uterus. She said it all looked good and healed well. She told us Dr. Moutos would be in in a minute. So at about 3:00ish he came in and looked at the incisions, showed us pictures of my insides and then got us ready to talk to Debra again about my protocol for this invitro cycle.
We met with Debra again and got the protocol. I am to keep taking birth control pills for 2 more weeks. On Oct. 7 I will start my Lupron shots. Once I start taking the shots, we are on our way!
I am so excited- crazy huh? Super excited about giving myself shots in the tummy- but I am ready to go! I pray that this cycle will all go as planned and that every follicle, every hormone, every everything will be exactly as it should and we will be successful! Thanks so much for all your prayers! Keep praying!

I know the feeling...so excited to get going! The shots aren't that bad...I had myself so worked up & nervous for nothing. I was lucky that my hubby was comfortable giving shots or I am not sure what I would have done. Best of luck!!
Wow, that was a full day of it! I know what you mean, I remember being so excited to get started. It is a very exciting time! I pray that everything goes well for you and your husband.
