Surgery

Well, the surgery went well. I remember getting there and getting the IV- which I thought woud hurt like crap since the one I had before did. This one the lady put it in my arm- never had one like that before- but she gave me a numbing shot so it didn't really hurt.I went back after telling Stuart, mom and dad, and my cousin Alicia bye. I was reading her card when they came to get me.

I was awake when I went into the surgery room- which was weird b/c I don't think I have ever been awake when I have gone in there. They put some oxygen over my face and that was all I remember.I woke up- my mouth was dry and I was ready to go home. Of course you have to pee, eat food and show you are okay to go home. I was feeling not too bad. The day after I was still feeling not to bad- but then the next day!Not feeling well- I was sick at my stomach all morning and day. I was hot, then I was cold, I felt horrible. Stuart called Baptist and talked to an on call doctor. He got me some medicine for nausea and it worked miracles- made me sleep but whatever works :-)I feel much better today. I am not taking my pain medicine b/c I think it was making me sick, especially not taking it on a full stomach. Anyway, my tummy hurts today. Stuart said the doc told him that when they put the first incision in my belly button- I started bleeding a lot and they didn't know what from. They had to make that incision bigger because they couldn't stop the bleeding and didnt know where it was coming from- Apparantly it was coming from a blood vessel or someting they hit when going in. So, that incision is really sore.

Whats worse- I CAN'T TAKE A BATH FOR 2 WEEKS!!! I love baths- I mean showers are okay but I am bath woman! That stinks!Well we go back in two weeks for my post op and that day we will have our IVF class to discuss all the medicine and how it all works! I AM SUPER EXCITED! I know God has wonderful things in store!
For me, I am so anxious and can't wait to go to the IVF appointment. I am nervous and excited about learning everything and discussing it all. I can't wait. I wish it was here yesterday!
Keep us in your prayers!

Well thanks for stopping by. IVF is an emotionally and physically exhausting process, but it will be worth it all in the end! I'll be praying for you and checking in on your cycle.
