21 Weeks Old

Ayla you are 21 weeks old! It is amazing how fast you are growing. You are feeling so much better. You are back to your normal self. These days you seem to be very interested in sitting up. You love for us to hold your hands and pull you up. It is great because you can work on your neck muscles that way since you aren't a big fan of tummy time. You would much rather be sitting up than trying to roll over.

Your hair still isn't growing very much. Your little bald spot on the back of your head seems to not want to fill in. I guess because you rub it so much when you are sleeping and laying down under your jungle gym.

You still like to sit in your bumbo and you are liking your exercauser more. You still aren't very sure what to do with all the toys on your exercauser so you mainly just stare at mommy while you are playing.

When you wake up in the mornings, from your naps or anytime...you just have the biggest grin on your face. It just makes my day going into your room and getting you up every morning. You are such a happy girl! You love it when daddy is home to get you up. It is quite a surprise when he is the one who gets to go in there to get you. But, we are both crazy because when he is home...we have to go in together because I just loving being there when you get up!

This is your first Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. This year we are celebrating the birth of our beautiful, perfect, healthy miracle! You are more than a blessing to us. We are so thankful that God decided on us to be your parents. We are so thankful He trusted us to take care of you. We are so thankful that He gave you life and placed you in my womb. Words could never express how much we love you. It is honestly scary how much we love you.

What an amazing, emotional Thanksgiving. We are so thankful for you. We are so thankful for all the blessings that God has given us. We are truly blessed with a beautiful home, a wonderful family, 2 sweet puppies, cars, food, water, clothing, insurance, jobs and so many other things.

I can't wait for tomorrow. We are finally getting to spend our first holiday with the daughter we prayed and longed for. We will continue to thank God for His miracle and His blessings.

For those of you waiting for your blessing...waiting to spend a holiday with your child...I am praying for you. I know your heart will be heavy. I know your heart will ache. I pray that you can find the peace and comfort that only He can give you. I pray you will have your miracle SOON!!!
