Stimulation Day 1

Well, today was a fabulous day. My hubby Stuart, my mom Sandra and I- and all the pups, Buddy (mom's dog), Spanky and Scrappy all went riding in the jeep on dirt roads and finally found our way to Mount Magazine. We rode on the dirt road for about an hour- we were trying to take a shortcut to the mountains- but...took a wrong turn somewhere.

Anyway...we made it up to Mount Magazine and went hiking with the dogs...they had a great time! Buddy was kinda scared- but my dogs were fearless leaders! Buddy is more of a follower!

When we got back to Mom and Dad's for supper, I had to take my shots. The Lupron one was fine...then OH MY GOODNESS! Apparently I am an idiot and this whole mixing thing was taking me for a spin. I had the hardest time with the Q-cap thing. I think it would be much easier to just stick the long needle in th bottle and to it that way instead of the Q-cap. Anyone else have issues or know what I am talking about? It's supposed to make it easier- I don't know! But, anyhow after I figured it all out and got all the medicine mixed and distributed, it went find. Now I don't have to keep remembering what side the shot was on this time since I am doing 2 a day now! Whatever it takes! This whole process is providing much patience!

God is good. I feel great about this IVF and I am trusting God that it works and Stuart and I will have one, two or three, or more babies running around this house soon! Stuart and Sarah plus SEVEN! ha ha People ask if I am nervous or worried and to be honest- not at all! God is faithful and I truly feel blessed everyday! I am ready to be a mom. I want to be a mom more than anything! I know God will give me the desire of my heart!

Love you all! Keep praying!

I totally remember my first shot of Bravelle and having to mix everything with the q-cap...my hands shook the entire time and I was SOOO afraid to mess up with all that EXPENSIVE medication! It definitely got easier with each shot, and it was totally worth it all! Hang in there, and good luck! :)

I remember the Q-cap and it stressing me out! My husband had to come mix it for me every night so I didn't have a crying breakdown. It is so expensive and stressful! I got used to it though. I took Menopur, which I think is a sister to Bravelle. Glad you are getting closer and that your follicles are growing so nicely! That is a blessing!

Did you enjoy Mount Magazine? I think my husband and I are going to spend a weekend there for our 10-year anniversary in January. My mom-in-law loves to go there and says it is very beautiful and peaceful. What do you think?
